1. Overview of industrial wastewater

Industrial wastewater is wastewater generated in the process of industrial production, from production stages and activities serving production. Wastewater generated from the daily life of the employees in the production company is also a form of industrial wastewater. Industrial wastewater is very diverse, differing in composition, emissions and depends on many factors such as: type of industry, technology, modernity of technology, lifespan of equipment, the establishment's management qualifications and staffs' awarenesses.

2. Type of industrial wastewater treatment

Industrial wastewater treatment includes basic types: industrial wastewater treatment, textile and dyeing industry wastewater treatment, MSG production wastewater treatment, coffee production wastewater treatment, water treatment, wastewater treatment of beer production, wastewater treatment for sugar production, wastewater treatment for paper production, wastewater treatment for rubber production, wastewater treatment for plating industry, wastewater treatment for mineral industry.

5. Explanation of industrial wastewater treatment technology process

Wastewater treatment plant of Nhon Trach 6A industrial zone with a capacity 40,000 m3 / day - General contractor: Van Lang Environment Company

Collection basin - Air tank: water from companies, factories in an industrial cluster/industrial park/company will be directed through a system of ditches and sewers to the centralized water treatment area.

Anaerobic biological treatment technology - UASB tank: Treating wastewater with high concentration of organic matter, reducing Nitrogen and Phosphorus very well.

Wastewater treatment technology MBBR, Aerotank: aerobic microorganisms will receive oxygen and convert organic matter into food. In an aerobic environment (thanks to O2 infiltration), aerobic microorganisms consume organic matter to grow, increase biomass and reduce the pollutant load in wastewater to the lowest level.

Physiochemical wastewater treatment technology: a physiochemical treatment tank consists of 3 compartments are flocculation, cotton, and sedimentation equipment cluster. Alum solution of FeCl3 and H2SO4 is poured into this compartment. The floc forming is supplemented with polymer to link the flocs together and form larger one for easier settling process before flowing to the settling compartment.

Water disinfection and sediment filtration: water after passing through the secondary sedimentation tank is directed to the disinfection tank, in the first compartment of the disinfection tank, the metering pump will supply a chemical solution to disinfect wastewater, after a while of reaction in wastewater disinfection tanks, wastewater is pumped to pressure filtration equipment.

Part of the sediment settles to the bottom of the tank is partly recirculated to the aerobic and anoxic biological tank to maintain the concentration of sludge, the sludge will be pumped into the sludge tank and put into the sludge press.
