VAN LANG – BEGINNING CONSTRUCTION OF WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM OF URBAN AREA


Sunup on Friday, October 16th, 2020, at new coastal urban area in Kien Giang province, a groundbreaking ceremony of project: Wastewater treatment system of Urban Area, total capacity is 4,500 m3/day, capacity of phase 1 Q = 2,250 m3/day was held by Van Lang Company, who also is the Contractor of this project.

This is a coastal urban area of Rach Gia city. The project is located along Highway 80, the Urban area was planned and built infrastructure, utility services, plays an important role in diversifying needs of housing and commercial services, increase the ability of attracting tourists to travel, work and settle locally. Besides, this will help Kien Giang province maintains key workforces, ensure good human resource and set big target is to attract labor for sustainable economic development.

New urban area was formed and the increased population has caused pressure on environmental protection issue, especially is domestic wastewater treatment problem. Along with economic development, environmental protection issue, especially is urban area wastewater treatment also concerned by the Investor. And therefore, building wastewater treatment plant of Urban area is neccesary.

Component of urban area watsewater contains polluted parameter such as COD, BODs, TSS, total Nitrogen, Amonium, total phosphorus, gease, coliforms, they have much higher concentration than the discharge standards.

Kien Giang Urban area wastewater treatment has phase 1’s designed capacity Q = 2.250 m3/day which got treatment technology of Van Lang Company, the aims is the standards of treated water meets discharge ones of current local and state. Before discharging into receiving resource, treated water must obtain QCVN 14:2008/BTNMT, column A – National Techinical Regulation on domestic wastewater.
