ACCEPTANCE TRIAL AND HANDING OVER FOR USE “CHITIN VIETNAM FOOD WASTEWATER TREAMENT PLANT”

Recently,Van Lang Environmental Company has completed acceptance trial and handing over for use “Chitin Vietnam Food Wastewater Treament Plant”, capacity 600m³/day which also was implemented by Van Lang Environmental Company and put into use with treated wastewater meeting the standard of QCVN 11-MT:2015/BTNMT, column B.

Vietnam Food Corporation is a large and modern manufacturer in Vietnam of fisheries field. Specializing in producting, researching and developing products for consumable food industry and biopharmaceutical industry, especially is Chitin.

Chitin wastewater is one of the hardest to treat wastewater, the component is mostly generated from these following phases:

• Storage of shrimp shells, crab shells, pre-treated shrimp head;
• Wastewater from washing acid, which is used for demineralizing in shells;
• Bazed wastewater in process of treating protein.  
• Domestic wastewater

Polluted component of Chitin wastewater is shown in the table below:

Chitin wastewater is one of the hardest to treat wastewater of Seafood Industry, it’s because the Component as well as the property of Chitin wastewater though the table above which shows very high pollution, acidity, BOD, COD, Pt/Co scale so we need right design method to solve the polluted condition of Chitin wastewater.

Through the process of technology, construction and operation improvement with many difficulties and challenges, Van Lang Environmental Company has recently has completed acceptance trial and handing over to use “Chitin Vietnam Food Wastewater Treament Plant”, with a capacity of 600 m³/day, with the quality of the treated wastewater meeting the standards of QCVN 11-MT: 2015/BTNMT, column B, contributing to solving the company's environmental problems.
