Vinh Hung is a commune in Vinh Loi district, Bac Lieu province, Vietnam. Vinh Hung commune is 12 km northwest away from district center. Vinh Hung Commune has an area of 22.83 km², population of about 10,842 people, population density reaches 475 people / km².
The people's life is mainly about agricultural production, animal husbandry and small trading, so the network of rivers and canals is crowded with these activities which make the people are still struggling with traveling and movement.
Understanding these difficulties and being introduced by the provincial authorities about the actual situation in Tran Nghia Hamlet, Vinh Hung Commune, Vinh Loi District, Bac Lieu Province, since then, Van Lang has sponsored and contributed a part of efforts to build "Dong Huong Bridge 11".
"Dong Huong Bridge 11" is a bridge with a very special position that conncets Bac Lieu Province and Vinh Long Province. With a length of 18m and a width of 2.5m, it will make traveling, doing business and trading between the two provinces of Soc Trang and Bac Lieu easier and more convenient. Commodities, agricultural and aquatic products are transported faster, increaseing the value and have more opportunities to do better business. It’s also more convenient and safe for students go to school.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the bridge, the show "Rising above the fate" awarded 25 bicycles to the poor students so they will have more motivation and steadiness on their way to school.
