Pipe flocculator is an equipment includes many pipe lines which is install in a way that helps wastewater moves in a zigzag shape or move in a straight line follow the shape of pipe line. Wastewater flows in the equipment with high speed, this helps wastewater and chemicals mix together. In addition, it’s compact, so it also helps saving more area and construction cost than building an reactor with similar capacity.

Seafood processing wastewater treatment contains high suspended solid content as well as grease. Because wastewater contain grease and suspended organic materials, suspended colloidal, hard to settle, hard to float in normal water. Therefore, it needs catalystic chemicals to disrupt the stable condition of suspended particals and combine them together into floc and float at Dissolved air flotation. Based on the flocculation theory in the pipe flocculator, pH adjustment chemicals are pumped into to create an environment with optimal pH, at the same time, flocculation chemicals are flushed directly in the water which flows into the device. Then, about half a cycle of water moving in the equipment,  metering pump will add the chemical in to carry out the flocculating process.
