1. What is environmental monitoring reports?
Preparing environmental monitoring report is a type of short-term environmental assessment and periodic report on authorized agency. Preparing periodically environmental monitoring report is to follow the monitoring of data from each company, then assess the impacts of polluted source toward environment, this helps the company preventing polluted problems, constructing mitigation measures and coming up with suitable environmental treatment solutions.
2. Who needs to prepare environmental monitoring reports every 3 months?
The subjects should prepare Environmental monitoring reports (environmental monitoring) are: business, production, services establishments, production and business areas, facilities operating, any other related subjects (according to Article 3, Decree No. 18/2015/ND-CP) and an environmental protection plan (according to Article 24, Law on environmental protection 2014). Large or small production establishments, hotels, motels, rented house (with 10 rooms or more), hospitals, clinics, schools, restaurants, regardless of the large or small scale, residential, apartments, buildings, industrial zones, residential areas, commercial centers and supermarkets.
3. Why should we prepare environmental monitoring reports once every 3 months?
Making periodic environmental monitoring reports is to monitor and observe data of each company, assess the impact of pollution sources on the environment to help the company prevent pollution problems; develop measures to minimize pollution and come up with appropriate environmental treatment solutions.
To monitor the current situation and developments of negative impacts arising from the establishment's production and business activities that affect environmental quality.
Periodically measure, take samples to analyze parameters related to negative impacts of the facility's surroundings (surface water, groundwater, air, soil).
4. The legal bases for preparing environmental monitoring reports every 3 months
- Environmental protection Law No. 55/2014/QH13 date June 23rd 2014.
- Decree 18/2015/ND-CP date Feb 14th 2015 regulate about environmental protection plans, stragical EIA, EIA and environmental protection scheme.
- Circular 27/2015/TT-BTNMT dated May 29th 2015 regulate about stragical EIA, EIA.
- Official letter 3105/TNMT-QLMT date April 18th,2008 of DORNE, Ho Chi Minh city.
5. Process of preparing environmental monitoring reports:
